HEREFORD United should have a fine pitch to perform on as they go for the Coca-Cola League Two play-offs next season.
Almost 100 tonnes of top soil have been added alongside a complete re-seeding of the Edgar Street surface.
Bulls chief Graham Turner said: "It has been totally re-seeded, the top inch or so has been taken off, there's been a lot of top-dressing put on, nearly 100 tonnes, so there has been a lot of work going on.
"Four days ago, the pitch was like a desert, there was barely a blade of grass on it.
"We're probably a fortnight to three weeks ahead of what we were this time last year."
