WORCESTER Warriors head coach Carl Hogg didn't know England's new chief Eddie Jones was at last night's European Challenge Cup match with Gloucester at Sixways.
Jones is understood to have held "low key" talks with Gloucester's player management as he continues his rounds of Premiership clubs since taking over as England head coach.
When asked at the post-mach press conference why Jones was at Sixways for the match, Hogg said: "I have no idea about Eddie Jones’ movements. I wasn’t aware he was at the game."
Warriors lost the match 34-22 and face a struggle to make the knockout stages of the competition.
Jones was spotted at Gloucester's training base at Hartpury College this morning and is understood to have had discussions with Gloucester's director of rugby David Humphreys.
The 55-year-old Jones was confirmed as Stuart Lancaster's successor last month but had to wait before taking office at Twickenham due to visa problems.
