STRIKER Andre Brown's spell at Worcester City has come to an end after completing his one month loan move from Crewe Alexandra.

The 19-year-old joined the Blue and Whites at the end of October as cover for the suspended Lee Hughes and Sean Geddes and made his name at the club when he scored the winner in City's 2-1 victory over Boston United.

Joint-manager Matt Gardiner says he would welcome Brown, who was an unused substitute at Brackley Town last Saturday, back to Aggborough, but believes the first year professional has the ability to break into Crewe's match day squad.

"Andre Brown has gone back to Crewe as it (the deal) was on a short term basis to cover the suspensions of Sean (Geddes) and Lee Hughes, but those guys are back and ready to play now.

"Andre scored against Boston and came on against Harrogate and Stalybridge, so it has been good for him to get first team experience.

"We think he has got a lot of potential and we think he will do well at Crewe. But if ever there was an incident when we needed someone, we would not hesitate in trying to get him back."

Striker Shaun Harrad looks set to take Brown's place on the bench as Worcester take on Tamworth at the Lamb Ground today (3pm).
