The leaders dominated the first half and second-from-bottom Telford rarely threatened their defence.

Attacking play from Worcester’s right-back and man-of-the-match Dave Westhead saw several shooting opportunities created for the forwards early on but the Telford keeper did well to deny them.

On 15 minutes, Worcester hit Telford three times in quick succession. Chris Perry, Tom Schubert and Joe Schubert scored in a blistering three-minute spell to put the game beyond Telford.

A minute before the break, Jon Sprague was fouled in the D and the penalty flick was converted by Tom Schubert to make it 4-0.

Telford pulled a goal back two minutes into the second half but Worcester continued to dominate.

Chris Kendall was rewarded for a superb midfield display with a late goal before Telford scored on the break for a final consolation.

Worcester improved in the second period with a tweak in formation but still conceded the opener.

However, they hit back with a Mike Megginson goal from Jack Ferman’s assist.

The two linked up again for Megginson to score and then Jake Glass converted from a short-corner.

The points were secured five minutes from time with Rory Simons winning a penalty flick and Megginson completing his hat-trick.
