WORCESTER Nomads and Brockhampton were forced to settle for 15 points each as they tied their Worcestershire Crusader County League Division One encounter.

Both teams finished their innings on 177 all out in a match that left early pace-setters Brockhampton top of the league by two points from Droitwich.

Batting first, Brockhampton reached their total with a half-century from Henry Langford (52), while Vin de Souza took 4-77 for Nomads.

Malcolm Jones (63) and Daren Lakin (58) led the visitors' reply but Adam Hewlett's 6-23 and 4-76 from Chris Burroughs halted them in their tracks.

Droitwich remain second after a winning draw at home to Worcester.

The Spa side batted first and were bowled out for 173 following a half-century from Damon Garrif and 31 from Jono Boult.

Worcester's best bowlers were Liam Weston with 4-37 and Matt Foster with 3-49.

The visitors started the run chase with Simon Keyte scoring 27 and Dan McKay strok-ing a stylish 49.

Worcester lost further wickets chasing the runs but Jamie Evans hit a quickfire 30 to give them a chance. However, they finished 13 runs short of the required total.

Elsewhere, Steve May made an unbeaten 103 and took 5-15 as Old Elizabethans beat Rushwick by 27 runs in Division Four South.

May's total helped OEs to 171-9 before May took the ball to claim a five-wicket haul and help dismiss Rushwick for 144, at one stage leaving them at 15-4.

In Division Two Kevin Golder carried his bat for 112 as Barnards Green eased to a nine-wicket victory against Belbroughton.

Cutnall Green won their first Division Three match of the season, beating Stourport by six wickets.

After skittling their visitors for 167, Green reached 169-4 with Neil Fletcher scoring 72.

Evesham fell five runs short of their target against Stourbridge in Division Four North.

The hosts declared on 211-8 but Evesham were dismissed for 207 despite the efforts of Luke Fisher who made 75.

Himbleton made light work of Barnards Green in Division Four South, winning by seven wickets. Set 165 to win, Leslie Jenkins (77) and Dean Oliver (55) saw the visitors home.
