PERSHORE High School 13-year-old Maeghan Brown has been selected for next year’s Great Britain under 16s squad.

They are likely to be travelling to South Africa to play a Test match series in the summer.

The Peopleton teenager’s mother said: “This is just amazing news and she is absolutely thrilled.

“We are reliant on having a super-fit pair of ponies and transport so we are very much in need of sponsorship.

“There is a checkpoint in April when the coaches will assess performance of both pony and rider.”
