VETERAN chaser Caught At Dawn returned to the scene of his Lady Dudley Cup success of three seasons ago to win the Confined race at the Wheatland Hunt point-to-point fixture at Chaddesley Corbett.
Being sent off the odds-on favourite in the field of six, Caught At Dawn, ridden by usual partner Tom Weston, was never troubled as they stormed home easy winners from runner-up News Maker.
Another veteran pointer to score was 16-year-old Jamaro, ridden by 16-year-old jockey Immy Robinson, who is the daughter of trainer Caroline Beasley.
Leading for most of the trip, Jemaro seemed to have little in reserve as the odds-on favourite Belligerant went past him with four fences to jump.
But, on the rain-sodden ground, Jemaro challenged again and, with the runner- up slowing to a virtual walk, they scored by 20 lengths. This was a double for trainer Caroline Robinson as, earlier in the day, her Rebel Army, ridden by Adrian Wintle, had taken the Mixed Open race by five lengths from long-time leader Gentle Rivage.
