MATCH-WINNER Steve Morison was lost for words after firing Stevenage Borough to FA Trophy glory.

Morison, Borough's top-scorer this season, earned his side £50,000 when he put them ahead at 3-2 with just two minutes of the match remaining.

"I can't explain how it feels," he said. "I can't describe scoring a goal any time let alone at Wembley in front of 50,000 people.

"The boys out there were all part of it, it was a tremendous effort. I just did what I'm paid to do and that's score goals.

"It's absolutely unbelievable to have scored the winner, but to be honest if I hadn't scored that chance I don't think any of my team-mates would have spoken to me."

The 23-year-old striker added: "It means so much to the boys and especially Mark Stimson, three in a row for him is incredible.

"Hopefully we'll be back here next year."

As Morison was toasting his winning goal, Ronnie Henry was celebrating becoming the first captain to lead his team up the 107 steps to new Wembley's Royal Box.

He follows in the footsteps of famous names such as Bobby Moore as a cup-winning captain at the historic ground.

Released by Tottenham Hotspur three years ago, Henry said: "It was amazing walking up those steps and it's something I've dreamt of doing since I was young.

"To lift the trophy in front of all those fans was a privilege and a feeling I can't put into words.

"I was exhausted when I got half-way up the steps, but nothing was going to stop me getting all the way up to lift the trophy."

Defender Henry, 23, added: "I had to bounce back from getting released by Tottenham, and although it's been hard, what can be better than being the first captain to lift a trophy at the new Wembley."
