AUSTRALIAN Adam Bolton crashed his first century for Worcester in a winning draw against Chaddesley Corbett in Crusader Worcestershire League Division One.

Worcester, relegated from the Birmingham League last season, batted first with Bolton crashing 122, including 13 fours and four big sixes.

He shared an opening partnership of 90 runs with Simon Keyte, while Rich Gardiner added a stylish 27.

Matt Foster departed early but that brought youngster Liam Weston to the crease.

Bolton and Weston proved an exciting combination as they produced 60 runs off just 35 balls.

Weston hit 49 not out off just 29 balls in Worcester's 269-4 at Norton which proved a daunting target for an inexperienced Chaddesley side.

Andrew Webster (49), Paul Lyman (46no) and overseas player N Warusavithana (35) put up resistance.

Mike Potter took 4-30 and Weston bagged the other wicket as Chaddesley finished on 194-5, leaving Worcester with 16 points from the winning draw.

Brockhampton and Droitwich are the early leaders of the Division One table with a 100 per cent record from three games.

Chris Boroughs (6-31) ensured Brockhampton bowled Bewdley out to earn maximum points.

Boroughs earlier scored 68 and Ashley Nahorniak added 60 as the visitors scored 235 all out.

But Bewdley, whose wicket-takers were Thomas Baylis (6-71) and Jack Mills (4-71), were then skittled for 110 all out.

Droitwich picked up a fine 28-run win at Stourbridge, restricting their hosts to 126 all out.

Gary Cartwright scored 53 in the title chasers' opening 154-8.

Worcester Nomads have made a good start after being promoted but slipped to their first defeat at the weekend.

Visitors Pershore won by three wickets, successfully chasing 144 all out.

Bromyard held on for a losing draw at Astwood Bank.
