TWO Malvern teams kept up their useful opening to the Crusader Worcestershire League Division Two season.

Barnards Green stormed to a five-wicket win at Netherton after dismissing their hosts for just 111.

Tim Williams took 5-58 and Chris Smedley claimed 4-27 before Green knocked off the runs.

Malvern were frustrated in a winning draw at Belbroughton who held on with 110-9.

Oliver Bendall smashed 99 runs in Malvern's 222-8 as they earned 18 points.

In Division Three, the games at Cutnall Green and Martley, where Colwall and Old Vigornians were the visitors respectively, fell foul of the wet weather. Kidderminster Victoria Thirds took a pasting at Pedmore where Worcester City goalkeeper Danny McDonnell proved his skill at another sport, scoring 209 not out.

David James' 7-52 helped Avoncroft see off Hagley by 28 runs, while Stourport recorded a fine 70-run victory over Old Halesonians.

Bevan Neill hit 56 runs with Phil Williams taking 4-32 with the ball.

In Division Four North, Evesham Thirds lost at Enville by seven wickets despite Luke Fisher's 66 runs.

Cookley claimed a winning draw at home to Halesowen with good individual displays from Mark Bennett (96) and Gary Mills (4-26). Old Elizabethans Thirds stormed to a four-wicket win over Ross-on-Wye in Division Four South.

Steve May's 6-47 helped get rid of the visitors for 173 all out and then Howard Nicholls (63) guided OEs to victory.

Birlingham defeated Worcester Dominies by 97 runs after scoring 209-8 through Gordon Jenkins' 68 and 54 from Rob Drake.

Tim Lewis took 5-46 for Dominies who then slumped to a disappointing 112 all out with Martin Downes (4-29) doing some of the damage.

Rushwick managed a winning draw at Hanley Castle and Upton, while Tenbury defeated Himbleton by two wickets on their travels.
