WORCESTERSHIRE lost two quick wickets to trail Yorkshire by 464 runs at the close of day two of their LV County Championship match at Headingley Carnegie.
After the hosts declared on 521 for seven, Matthew Hoggard had opener Stephen Moore caught at first slip by Jacques Rudolph for nought, and Worcestershire were 39 for two when Jason Gillespie knocked back Vikram Solanki's off-stump.
But former Yorkshire batsman Phil Jaques looked comfortable at the close on 38 with his side 57 for two.
Earlier, Joe Sayers and South African Rudolph both completed their second centuries of the season.
Sayers, on 86 overnight, reached his century off 242 balls with 10 boundaries.
Sayers departed for 123 when he pulled Dewald Nel, who took four for 74, to square leg where he was well caught by Moore.
Rudolph made an unbeaten 129 after being dropped while on 81.
Worcestershire captain Solanki deputised behind the stumps for Steven Davies who was absent following the death of his grandmother.
