RAVENMEADOW Golf club in Claines is holding an open weekend for new and experienced golfers on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be various competitions to enter with prizes sponsored by well-known manufacturers such as Cobra, Taylor Made, Titleist and Nike.
One of the objectives of the weekend is to encourage golfers of all ages to start playing the game. There will be free coaching sessions tomorrow and Sunday, for juniors, ladies and men.
The juniors sessions take place at 10am and 11am on both days and run for an hour. The ladies sessions are at 1pm on Sunday.
Juniors can also take part in an initiative called snag golf' which involves hitting soft balls at targets.
For the more experienced golfers, there is a free short-game clinic as well as two demo days. Taylor Made will be giving golfers a chance to try their latest equipment on Saturday with Nike doing the same on Sunday.
The open weekend is free to attend and will finish with a show from former world trick shot champion Paul Barrington on Sunday afternoon.
Anyone who wants to attend or needs further information should call Ravenmeadow on 01905-757525.
