THE Worcester Nomads Academy got off to a winning start at Feckenham in the Duncan Fearnley Worcestershire Sunday Club League.
Nomads bowled Feckenham out for 130 off 38.2 overs with Blake Raymond taking 2-11, Alex Williams 2-20 and Sam Roberts 2-20.
Anthony Fahy, Peter Preston, Geoff Taylor and Jac Dimond claimed a wicket each.
Nomads made light work of the run chase, reaching 131-4 off 19.5 overs as Taylor hit 61 off 41 balls, including 13 fours.
James Doorbar added 20 and Raymond 16 not out for Nomads.
The seconds lost to Earlswood at home after the visitors elected to bat first.
They managed 228 all out, thanks to R Nowell (50) and S Smith (101 not out), with Anton Madzarevic taking 2-41 and Matt North 3-58.
Nomads fell for 202 in response with Malcolm Jones (74), Dave Finbow (50) and Casey Sanders starring. Eleven-year-old opener Harry Williams played some good shots.
