MOTORSPORT fans flocked to Grimley Raceway for the third meeting of the season.
Nine formulas, featuring 145 competitors, took part in 27 races at the popular event on Bank Holiday Monday.
Dan Lewis was one of two county drivers to enjoy success as he won the Grimley Maniac tap-and-spin banger forumla.
The Worcester racer stormed to victory in his Nissan Sunny, which featured on Grimley Raceway's stand at the Autosport show at the NEC in January.
Grimley youngster Tom Ball, aged 15, made it a double success for local talent by claiming victory in the junior mini rod.
The meeting also saw the third round of the Stockkarts, a national competition featuring mini stock cars on go-karts with 400cc Honda engines.
Raceway promoter Alan Lewis said: "It was a tremendous turnout of spectators and competitors considering the weather looked doubtful early in the morning but it didn't rain once we started racing at 1pm."
The next meeting takes place at Grimley Raceway on Sunday, May 20.
