BARNARDS Green enjoyed a fine seven-wicket win over Bromsgrove in the Worcestershire Sunday League.
Rose and Fisher made a bright start for the visiting Bromsgrove team, but Harris removed the former for 56.
Fisher was then unlucky to be run out for 36 as the ball was deflected onto the stumps at the non-striker's end. Hope added 42 and the Green bowlers gave away 43 extras, which allowed the away side to post 243 from their 45 overs.
Home openers Andrew Wheeler and Rich Williams put on 136 for the first wicket before Wheeler was caught in the deep for 78. His excellent innings featured eight fours and six sixes.
Paul Yorke carried on where Wheeler left off, timing the ball equally well as he made 46. Williams also carried on scoring before he was dismissed for 88 off 22 overs.
With the Green positioned at 230-3, Tim and Jez Clarke saw their side home with more than 20 overs remaining.
