WORCESTER Nomads continued their great start in Crusader Worcestershire League Division One with a two-wicket win at Bewdley.
Bewdley struggled on a good batting pitch as Neil Thompson took 3-38 and Geoff Taylor claimed two wickets.
Trevor Fabien, Ben Schiffmann and Blake Raymond also bowled well.
Derek Austin was an early batting victim but Simon Harris (43) and Malcolm Jones (23) consolidated.
But the match began to swing Bewdley's way as their spinners put the brakes on.
Captain Dannie Rees, Darren Lakin and Fabien all went cheaply. But James Smith (68) and Raymond (35) took their side to the brink of victory.
Taylor hit the winning boundary with two overs to spare.
The seconds achieved their first win of the league season, beating Bewdley by 65 runs.
Nomads were put into bat and made a creditable 233-9 off 50 overs with debutant opener Matt Ormerod (63) impressing.
David Pearson (25), Andy Leach (18) and Dave Finbow (58) provided able support.
In reply, Bewdley started strongly but Ormerod (3-60) started a steady trickle of wickets. Tom Marsh claimed 2-30 and Nick Williams 3-16 to bowl Bewdley out for 168.
