Worcestershire have completed the temporary signing of Scottish international bowler Dewald Nel.
The right arm medium-fast bowler, who is currently enjoying an excellent season with Scotland in the Friends Provident Trophy, has signed on for the County for the next 10 days.
The 26-year-old will play for Worcestershire, who have been beset by injuries to Doug Bollinger (side and hip strain), Matt Mason (shoulder) and Nadeem Malik (shin), in the forthcoming LV County Championship Division One matches against Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes said: "Our seam bowling resources are severely stretched so we needed to find more cover.
"Dewald has played some second XI cricket for us and has performed really well for Scotland this season."
