WORCESTER Under 12s have earned the opportunity to play at Twickenham before England Saxons take on Scotland B' on May 28.
It will mark a superb end to the season in which the A' team have won the North Midlands Cup, the Kyran Bracken Trophy and the Hinckley and Worcester tournaments.
To qualify for this visit to the home of English rugby, a squad of 16 players played six matches at the Nottingham tournament.
Worcester won five matches and drew the other. The all-round strength of the side was highlighted by their total of 19 tries with 11 different players on the scoresheet.
They now take on Newbury in the semi-final at Twickenham with a possible final on the same day.
The Under 12s A' team have now gone six years without losing a match and haven't conceded a score against them in the last two seasons.
Meanwhile, Worcester Under 13s were crowned North Midlands champions after pulling off five wins against teams from across the region at Stourbridge.
They finished top of their group following victories against Bromsgrove (5-0) and Ledbury (27-0). They then saw off the challenge of Dudley Kingswinford (17-10) in the quarter-finals to set up a semi against Bridgnorth.
A gritty and skilful performance saw them through to the final with a 7-0 win and a fourth consecutive shut-out.
The final saw a re-match with Bromsgove and it turned out to be a close-fought contest.
Worcester took an early lead and cemented it with a try shortly afterwards. But Bromsgrove came back with a converted try of their own just before half-time.
There were second-half tries from both sides and, despite Bromsgrove throwing everything they could into attack, the Worcester team were aggressively firm in defence and ran out deserved 15-12 winners.
The victory was the perfect way for the team to sign off after a fine season, which has been a credit to the hard work put in by players and coaches alike.
