HEREFORD United have targeted three points at Torquay United to end their season on a high.
United's first season back in the Football League looked to be heading for a play-off push until a recent poor run saw them slip into the bottom-half.
They head to the already-relegated Devon club on Saturday (3pm) with just one win from their last 12 matches.
But coach John Trewick expects the team to play with pride and is hoping for a positive end to the campaign.
He said: "We have been on a run of not picking up points of late. Some of the performances have been pretty decent but it's all about results.
"Professional players should play for pride all the time no matter what the outcome.
"We are looking for that sort of performance. We have been disappointed at the way the season has ended but as far as we are concerned we want to win this game just as much as any other this season."
Hereford have the option of naming an unchanged team from the one beaten 1-0 at home by play-off hopefuls Shrewsbury last Saturday.
However, they will not include Richard Rose in the squad after the midfielder was ruled out of the match with a suspected broken toe.
Long-term casualties Andy Ferrell (groin) and Martyn Giles (back) continue to sit out.
Torquay will be without Lee Thorpe after the striker was sent off for violent conduct against Boston last week.
They may also have to call on 20-year-old goalkeeper Martin Horsell after Lincoln City recalled Simon Rayner from his loan spell.
The 6ft 5ins Canadian stopper had impressed at Plainmoor in 10 appearances but has been called back as cover for Alan Marriott.
Horsell has played six times this season but conceded five in his last outing against Notts County in January.
Goals might be hard to come by as Torquay are the lowest scorers in League Two with just 36 goals, while Hereford's 3-0 defeat of Boston provided their only goals in the last nine games.
A large crowd is expected at Plainmoor to mark the end of Torquay's 80-year stay in the league with Bulls fans taking advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend for a mini-break.
