OLD Vigornians failed to compete with several 300-plus innings on the first day of Crusader Worcestershire League Division Three action.
Unusually, the season started in warm sunshine and on the kind of flat, batting tracks seen in June.
OVs started with a comprehensive five-wicket defeat at Harborne after mustering 206-8 in 50 overs.
Meanwhile, Kidderminster Victoria thirds, Romsley and Stourport all flew past 300 runs.
Skipper Arti Fiaz made a quick-fire 32 and Nick Hutchings hit 28 but the innings was built around an innings of 81 from Rich Hallett.
Ian Gunthorpe took 4-65 for Harborne. Even though Osman Fiaz picked up two wickets bowling leg-spin for the first time, Harborne knocked the target off with relative ease.
Ian Powick scored 72 runs for the victors.
