KIDDERMINSTER-based Samurai Judo Club members were in action at opposite ends of Europe.
Kelly Edwards secured a brilliant gold at the Spanish International Open, while Debbie Read finished fifth at the European Police Championships in Moscow.
Edwards, 16, was up against the best of Europe's young judo players, starting with Spain's number one and the Italian champion.
She finished with the German top seed in the final but overwhelmed all, thanks to her attacking style.
It almost certainly ensures Edwards one of four British places at the European Youth Olympics this summer, as well as a place at the European Cadet Championships in June.
Read's preparation for the European Police Championships were blighted by knee problems and other issues.
Although tired, she beat a tough German in an epic 10-minute opener and made the semi-finals.
Read lost to a Ukranian and then could not defeat a Dane in the bronze play-off.
Samurai's Grant Jones, Becky Holmes and Nicola Haywood are heading to a training camp in Belgium.
