EVESHAM United manager Paul West is treating tonight's Southern League Division One Midlands play-off semi-final against Bromsgrove Rovers as a clean slate (7.45).
The two sides meet at the Victoria Ground in a repeat of the 2004 play-off final, which saw Evesham secure promotion with a 4-0 victory.
The Robins' 2-1 win against Leighton Town at the weekend earned them fifth place in the table, while Rovers got the point they needed to be certain of finishing second with a 0-0 draw at Rushall Olympic.
But as far as West is concerned, the play-offs represent a fresh start for his side as they aim to return to the Premier Division at the first attempt.
The manager, whose side have lost just eight times this season, said: "It's fantastic for the club and I am delighted for the players. They have worked hard.
"Our aim at the start of the season was to get into the play-offs and we've achieved that. It will be a tough outing for us but it's a one-off game.
"There's four teams in it and we are two games away from being in the Premier. If we win two games on the bounce we are going to get promoted."
In previous meetings, Evesham won 2-0 at St George's Lane in December and Rovers triumphed 4-2 at the Victoria Ground in October, a match which saw four players sent off. Rovers welcome back Carl Heeley, Wayne Dyer and Kevin Banner after resting them against Rushall.
They can also call on Kidderminster striker Gary Hay and Moor Green midfielders Richard Scott and David Bridgwater, all registered to Rovers.
Manager Rod Brown said: "It's big boost for us because we have been struggling to get a side together in recent weeks because of injuries.
"I have won three play-offs in my career and they are a bit like cup finals. You want your experienced players on the pitch."
Evesham defender Anthony Watson is set to return to the team after missing Saturday's game with a back injury.
