JONNY Harkness is facing Wembley heartbreak after making a decision "he'll regret for the rest of his life".
The Kidderminster Harriers' defender was sent off in Tuesday's 3-0 Conference defeat at Grays Athletic and will miss his side's FA Carlsberg Trophy final against Stevenage Borough on May 12.
The 21 year-old was in tears after being dismissed on his return to action following a sending-off against Aldershot Town at Aggborough last week.
An apparent elbowing incident involving Grays campaigner Andy Sambrook led to his latest red card - and a four-match ban.
Harriers' assistant manager Neil Howarth said: "You wouldn't wish this on a senior professional. For a young lad to try to come to terms with the fact you're going to miss probably the biggest game of your career is not nice.
"It's probably a decision that he's made on the pitch that he'll regret for the rest of his life."
Harkness' sending-off has been part of what boss Mark Yates describes as an absolutely manic week for hectic Harriers.
He said: "The ticket office has been absolutely manic which shows people want to come and see us.
"There's so many things to organise and get ready as well as not taking your foot off the gas on the football side of it."
