LITTLE Malvern's Michelle Nixon is continuing her hunt to become a top female racing driver.
Nixon, 24, recently signed for the high-profile 2007 Dunlop Mini Challenge.
After taking an impressive third in the 2006 Formula Woman Novice Championship, Nixon bought a BMW Works Mini Cooper.
Her new competition is part of the Dunlop Great and British' Series.
After attending the official Mini test and media day at Snetterton, Nixon was confident after setting eye-catching lap times.
Her father Dave recently sold his own race car to concentrate on helping his daughter in the championship and is looking forward to being behind the scenes.
Despite a major operation on her right shoulder in January, Nixon has been training hard and is focussed on success, giving up alcohol for the whole season.
She is still seeking more sponsors. The championship begins at Snetterton this weekend.
