ONE of Britain's toughest time trials is hosted in Worcestershire on Sunday.
The Beacon Roads Cycling Club's Little Mountain Trial' has a string of steep ascents along the 39.5 mile route.
Starting and finishing in Great Witley, the time trial includes the notorious Stanford Bank and Ankerdine Hills which are feared by many cyclists.
Cyclists will leave at minute intervals from 8am until 10am with the first of the riders completing the course between 10.30am and 12.50pm.
Most of Worcestershire's cycling clubs will be strongly represented at the time trial.
They will be battling against some of the UK's top time trial cyclists, including hill climb specialist Gethin Butler, of Preston Wheelers, and Matt Bottrill, of De Rosa RT.
Gavin Poupart, of Pershore-based Echelon Cyclists, will be defending his 2006 time of one hour 40 minutes 14 seconds.
