THE Worcestershire final of the UK Chess Challenge takes place at the University of Worcester on Sunday.
This is one of 23 finals taking place in the UK where age group winners compete against pupils from other schools.
More than 70,000 pupils competed nationally in the school tournaments and Worcestershire already has more entrants than last year.
Section winners get a trophy and there are rosettes for all who qualify for the Northern Gigafinal in Manchester.
