KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have secured highly-rated winger Adam Dawson on a contract for the new Vanarama National League campaign.
The Bury-born 22-year-old established himself as a pre-season favourite with the Harriers fans following eye-catching performances on trial across the summer, including scoring at Aggborough in a 1-1 draw with a strong Birmingham City line-up.
A former Liverpool youngster, he was also at Wigan Athletic and Leicester City before being released by the Premiership club at the end of last season.
Dawson knows Harriers' level well after loan spells during the 2014-15 campaign with Nuneaton Town and play-off winners Bristol Rovers, making 25 appearances in total with three goals and playing twice against Kidderminster.
The free agent has mulled over a few options over the summer but finally put pen to paper on a deal that starts today.
Dawson said: “It’s been a long summer. I’m just excited to get it all out of the way.
“When I got speaking to Creights (Mark Creighton) and the gaffer (Gary Whild), I just felt this was the right place for me to push on and I feel like I’m in the right place to develop.”
