WESTFIELDS fought back from deficits three times to draw 4-4 in a Midland Alliance thriller at high-flying Tipton Town.

Without injured 'keeper Jon Pugh and key defender Scott Jackson, the Hereford side fell two goals behind to Marcus Jackson and Ashley Langford.

But Westfields restored pride before the interval with a Ross Miller own goal and a Daniel Moon strike pulling them level.

They were caught napping again in the second-half when Troy Douglin scored but Jamie Edwards bagged the equaliser again.

Although Nicky Campbell regained the lead, top scorer Mark Davis finally earned Westfields a point. They entertain Barwell tomorrow night (7.45).

Meanwhile, Bromyard Town slipped further into West Midlands League Premier Division relegation danger with a 1-0 defeat at Wednesfield.

Fielding a weakened squad, Bromyard held their own but still suffered a fourth defeat in a row. The only goal arrived on 44 minutes through a five-yard tap-in.

Bromyard, who have four games left to survive, gave it their best in the second period but a strong Wednesfield defence were never troubled.

Town are due to host Pelsall Villa tomorrow night (7.45).

Archdales '73 were edged out by a last-minute winner in a five-goal Midland Combination Division One thriller at Newhall United.

Neil Mogford volleyed 'Dales ahead on 30 minutes but then the two goalkeepers prevented further goals.

Newhall levelled with 20 minutes left through Dave Hobbs but 'Dales regained the lead when Andy Widdowson volleyed in from the edge of the box.

However, Dave Smith equalised again and Jason Beck had a late penalty saved for 'Dales who then conceded to Paul Matthews from the last kick of the game.
