DROITWICH rounded off a perfect Midlands Four West (South) season with a 32-8 home win over Cleobury Mortimer.
In front of a large crowd, the town kept their 100 per cent record at the top of the table.
Droitwich opened the scoring when prop James Shewell broke from a driving maul to show a fine turn of pace and thunder over from 30 metres.
A clever miss-pass by Sean Walker found Richard Allen who strode over unopposed and then converted his try.
More strong running by Droitwich, with Leon Hopkins and Mark Strutt particularly effective, set up a position for Jimmy Richardson to score. Allen again converted.
Cleobury did not give up and their attacking was rewarded with a try from the wing.
But the home side had the last word of the half as Allen kicked a penalty. Cleobury reduced the lead with a penalty in the second-half but Hopkins scorched in for another Droitwich try.
Both sides tired late on but there was still time for Gavin Reese to score in the corner following good approach work by Greg Garfield.
Captain Dean Goddard said: "To finish with a perfect record is an extraordinary achievement."
