STOURPORT Swifts climbed off the bottom of Southern League Division One Midlands by virtue of goal-difference with a priceless victory at Walshes Meadow.
Matt Aubrey came off the bench to fire the winner with 20 minutes remaining and register a first win in 12 attempts for Phil Mullen's side.
Craig Webb's shot was blocked by the goalkeeper during a penalty area scramble and Aubrey bundled the ball over the line.
Aubrey also had further chances to increase his side's lead. He fired over five minutes from time after fellow substitue Nick Heath had played him in and, with only seconds left, blazed over when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Swifts are now level on points in the relegation zone with new basement side Berkhamsted, who drew 3-3 at home to play-off hopefuls Willenhall Town, but are still five points behind third-from-bottom Spalding United.
Both teams have three games remaining but know only the bottom club will be relegated after Solihull Borough resigned from the league to merge with Moor Green for next season.
