WYRE are Worcester Table Tennis League Division One champions after beating Pavilion Players 9-1 to take maximum points.
The victory put them nine points ahead of Cripplegate Roamers with two games left to play.
Roamers took the runners-up place after beating Eagles 6-4 in a rearranged match.
The rest of the league positions are still up for grabs with Rainbow, Eagles and St Georges battling for third place.
Pavilion Players and Broadheath Barflies are battling to stay off the bottom.
Although Players look the favoured side, Barflies have hit good form, taking maximum points against the Players in an 8-2 win.
