WORCESTER cyclists have been in action in early-season events with good results in time trials.
In Malvern club VC Sevale's open 10-mile event at Severn Stoke, riders from Team Echelon took the team prize.
Worcester's Paul Dring led them with 22 minutes 47 seconds for fifth place.
Dring's Echelon team-mate Nick Toy, of Malvern, also posted a good time of 23.36.
Worcester St John's riders took the second team spot, led by Steve Price whose time of 22.44 earned him fourth place.
Price was just 14 seconds off the winner Bill Moore, of Wyre Forest CRC).
Saints' Dave Walker scraped into the top 10 with 23.17.
Price continued his good form in the Elizabethan Hilly 21-mile event at Bridgnorth.
This tough event was won by Dan Soltys (Wrekinsport CC) in 50.12. Price took third place, just 20 seconds adrift.
