WILLYANWOODY, ridden by Rachel Green, was the stand-out winner at the Croome & West Warwickshire Hunt point-to-point meeting in front of a large crowd at Upton-upon-Severn.
Although not jumping with normal fluency, the odds-on Mixed Open favourite quickened away from its opposition over the final two fences to score comfortably.
Jockey Adrian Wintle was in good form at the meeting, scoring a double on Black Leopard in the Restricted Open and Springbook Girl in the Confined.
Black Leopard, only third at Brampton Bryan last time out, quickened clear of the pursuing Pretty Lady Rose at the third-from-last fence but stopped dramatically on the run-in to only score by two lengths.
Springbook Girl was a welcome winner for Hanley Swan trainer Andy Hobbs in the Confined race as they swept past the front-running Caught At Dawn to score.
The final Maiden race saw a win for History Master and Sam Beddoes, who used the experience of a previous third place in a hunterchase to good effect.
