KIDDERMINSTER Harriers dominated against Woking but fell to defeat after failing to score for the third match in a row at Aggborough.

Mark Yates' men were also unable to find the net in a 1-0 home loss to Northwich Victoria and 0-0 draw with Burton Albion last month.

Harriers ran the show against their Surrey visitors in the Conference but youngster Liam Marum demonstrated how to finish with the only goal, his first in senior football, on 40 minutes.

One positive for Harriers was another impressive performance from centre-half Mark Creighton, who continued his fine form since signing from Redditch United in the summer.

Mid-table Kidderminster, chasing a top 10 position with dreams of the play-offs effectively over, had a penalty appeal for a foul on Iyseden Christie turned down within the first minute.

They continued to attack in a sublime start with Michael Blackwood nodding Jon Brady's cross over the bar and Gavin Hurren dragging a volley wide.

Woking goalkeeper Nick Gindre was forced into his first save with a good ninth-minute parry from Harriers striker James Constable.

Woking began to give Harriers 'keeper Scott Bevan more to worry about and the alarm bells were sounding as they took the lead five minutes before half-time.

After a quick free-kick, winger Goma Lambu crossed for Marum to fire past Bevan from 12 yards with Harriers' defence dozing.

Kidderminster pressed forward in the second period with little threat from their visitors but it proved a highly frustrating 45 minutes.

Midfielder Hurren and substitute Simon Russell forced stops from Gindre, while Russ Penn picked up his 15th booking of the season which ensured the resulting suspension will not prevent him playing in the FA Trophy final.

Harriers: Bevan; Wilson, Creighton, Whitehead (Hay 80), Kenna; Brady, Hurren, Sedgmore (Penn 61), Blackwood (Russell 58); Christie, Constable. Subs not used: Taylor, Smikle.

Attendance: 1,479.
