MALVERN, without a goalkeeper nor first-choice defenders in the back four due to suspensions, non availability and illness, performed admirably, but two late goals undid all their hard work.
The hosts conceded goals in the 76th and 78th minutes to hand Willenhall a 3-1 Southern League Division One Midlands victory.
Captain Rik Halion gave Malvern the lead after 15 minutes when he picked up the ball about 40 yards out and hit a screamer into the visitors' net.
Willenhall equalised when Paul Edwards mis-judged his defensive header to stand-in 'keeper Dan Harding-Hall and scored an own goal.
In the 76th minute, Willenhall were awarded a free-kick just outside the penalty box. The ball was played in field and Dan Harvey shot home with his side's first effort on target.
Malvern were still reeling from this when Kyle Perry won possession and fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
