GEORGE Clegg and Shabir Khan are set to return to the Worcester City team for Saturday's home match against Gainsborough Trinity.
The pair were forced to miss last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Nuneaton Borough through injury but should be fit for the weekend.
Clegg damaged his shoulder in training before the trip to Manor Park, while Khan has been out of the reckoning since being replaced at half-time at Moor Green on March 17.
With manager Andy Preece short on personnel options, Khan is set to fill in for the suspended Adam Burley on the left of defence with Clegg reclaiming his place in midfield from Shaun Findlay.
Preece also revealed captain Des Lyttle has been struggling through matches with a groin problem and the versatile Chris Smith is still playing with an ankle knock.
The boss said: "We don't have too many bodies available but the ones we do have are more than capable of doing a job. Shabir should be OK and I am sure George will be fit as well.
"Having Shabir and George back is going to help things and at least one of them is going to come straight back into the team and the other will be either in the team or on the bench."
The visit of relegation-threatened Gainsborough to St George's Lane is the first of two matches for City in the space of 48 hours with a trip to Alfreton Town following on Bank Holiday Monday.
Not surprisingly, Preece has targeted six points from the double header as his side chase an unlikely play-off place.
Fifth-placed Hinckley only managed a 2-2 draw at Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday, making their advantage over City seven points.
Preece said: "It's only a glimmer of hope but it's some sort of hope.
"As the pressure gets on in the last few games there will be some strange results and we have to win all our games and see where we are.
"It's a six-point weekend and things can change and suddenly you can be back in the picture if things don't go for the other teams."
