MICHAEL Siket enjoyed great success in the Worcester Table Tennis League junior championships, scooping the boys' under 12, under 14 and doubles titles.
In fact, Siket was only narrowly beaten two-sets-to-one by Jamie Mills in the under 17 final.
Kamil Chmurzynski partnered Siket in the doubles final and they overcame brothers Jamie and Samuel Mills.
In the under 12 final, top-seed Siket saw off a spirited performance from Shafaz Ahmed to triumph.
Defending champion Amber Perry used her experience to beat Robyn Cawley in the girls' under 12 final.
Ahmed had a second chance against Siket in the semi-final of the boys' under 14 event, but once again Siket proved too strong.
Luke Palmer played well to reach his first final, but was unable to cope with Siket's forceful hitting.
Reigning champion Jamie Mills saw off his brother Samuel in the under 17 semi-final to set up a meeting with Siket, who disposed of Chmurzynski in his semi-final.
The final between Mills and Siket was a classic encounter with lots of counter hitting from both players. Mills fought back from a set down to claim the title.
Although Chmurzynski and Siket were probably the weaker pair, they gelled well to beat the Mills brothers in the doubles final.
