WITH Iyseden Christie and Stuart Whitehead both ruled out of Saturday's Nationwide Conference clash with Gravesend and Northfleet, Kidderminster Harriers boss Mark Yates may dip into the transfer market.
Both striker Christie, who made his injury comeback against Halifax in the FA Trophy quarter-final last weekend, and skipper Whitehead are banned for collecting five yellow cards.
However, if Yates does not add to his squad, the likely move would be to play Jake Sedgemore in midfield and move Gavin Hurren to centre-half in place of Whitehead.
Yates has admitted that he has searched the market for available players, but has made no firm decision yet.
He said: "There is the option of going out and getting somebody else in.
"We're seeing what's out there at the moment but we have other options as well.
"We've always got Gavin to go back or Jeff Kenna could move inside."
Striker Gary Hay will be one player looking to keep his spot in the team after impressing Yates with his first few starts in a Harriers shirt.
The manager added: "Gary has given us something a bit different - he's got real pace and in the last few games I think he's done well.
"He hasn't scored but he has been a big part of us creating chances and causing teams problems."
Although joint top-scorer Christie is unavailable to face Liam Daish's play-off chasing men, Yates has hailed the impact his return to fitness has had.
Yates said: "Having Iyseden on the bench on Saturday was a boost for the players and a boost for the supporters and you saw the reaction when he came on.
"The atmosphere was excellent on Saturday and I think Iyseden made a real impact for 20 minutes when he came on.
"His booking was very unfortunate as I think the referee got the decision completely wrong and I don't think Iyseden could believe he'd even given a free-kick against him. But these things happen and Iyseden has to learn from getting booked because it has cost him a place in the team."
Meanwhile, there will be a fund-raising auction of promises evening in the Aggborough Suite on Friday from 7pm.
Tickets, which include a pig roast, cost £10 and there is a whole host of varied lots up for grabs. The promises available to bid for include such lots as a two-week stay at a large house in Grand Bahama and a supper party for four people at the home of Mark and Nicky Yates.
