I CAN'T remember ever being involved in a game like Saturday where we have played so much better than the opposition and come away with nothing.
It was unbelievably disappointing to leave Kingsholm without a single point and that disappointment was obviously compounded by results elsewhere.
In many ways, the game against Gloucester epitomised our season. It is very hard for all of us to take but we can't afford to feel sorry for ourselves.
The only place we can put it right is on the pitch and that is exactly what we intend to do.
With Northampton getting a surprise win against Leic-ester, it was a very bad day from our point of view and it does make the task we face that much harder.
In some respects, we have to change our outlook now bec-ause we have to win every game. The guys have been tense for much of the season and that is probably one of the reasons why we have been making too many errors.
All we can do is try to cut out those errors because the rest of our game has been working pretty well. We need to keep control and keep doing some of the things we did at the weekend.
There was a cutting edge to our play and that is one aspect we are determined not to let slip. But it is important we learn the lessons of that defeat because, if we can get rid of the mistakes, we will be a very hard team to beat.
It goes without saying that our match at home to Bath on Saturday is a massive one and we have got to go all-out for the win. We are all pretty clear about what we are going to get from them. They are a confrontational side with a very strong pack.
But we are not up against a top four side so there is no reason why we can't go into the game in a positive frame of mind.
We have had great support throughout the season and we are desperate to pay our fans back so Saturday is an ideal opportunity for us to get our first Guinness Premiership win at Sixways this season.
Not only have we not won at home this season but Bath are a side we haven't beaten since we came up to the Premier-ship three years ago. There couldn't be a better time than now to put both those statistics right.
It is important we concentrate on our own game now and we can't let ourselves get distracted by how Northamp-ton or any other team are playing.
If we are to achieve our objective we can't be anything less than 100 per cent focussed on the job in hand.
