HAVING surrendered a 4-1 lead to draw 4-4 in the dying seconds when the two sides met in November, it was Pershore's turn to snatch a late point as they drew 3-3 with Stafford in West Midlands Division Two.
In the first-half, Toby Whiting saw his penalty flick come back off the post and James Hughes also went agonisingly close.
Pershore defensive errors gifted Stafford a two-goal lead, but Whiting pulled a score back from a short corner just before half-time.
Stafford went 3-1 ahead early in the second period, but Pershore staged a stirring fightback to grab a point.
Whiting thumped home a second short corner and then Graham Rushton equalised late on.
The firsts also won 6-1 in a re-arranged match at Standard. Vinnie Crawley, Rushton and Andy Wright put the Vale side 3-0 up in the first-half.
Rushton went on to claim a hat-trick and Whiting also scored.
n The seconds hit six past Yardley without reply. Andy Taylor and Martin Thomas (twice) both scored from first-half short-corners.
Ben Wright punished some indecisive defending for Pershore's fourth goal from a tight angle and then Thomas grabbed two more to round off a fine win.
n The thirds managed a 3-3 draw against an experienced Stafford side. The home side put Pershore under immense pressure, which led to the opening goal from a short corner.
Despite lacking cohesion, Pershore put in plenty of effort, but the hosts went 2-0 in front from another short corner.
The visitors then started to come into the game and a goalmouth scramble resulted in the ball somehow ending up in the net.
This gave Pershore a lift and they started to attack more, but a third short-corner goal restored Stafford's two-goal advantage.
For Pershore, Chris Ridings looked strong on the ball, while Phil Taylor and the tireless Niall Green never gave up.
The team kept fighting until the end and were rewarded yet again as excellent passing and a deft finish snatched the draw minutes from the final whistle.
