WORCESTER'S prospects of avoiding relegation from the Premiership may appear bleak but they have received support from an unlikely source.
Saturday's 33-19 defeat to Gloucester leaves the Sixways club seven points off their nearest rivals at the bottom of the table but the player whose try set the West Country men on their way believes Warriors can take it to the wire.
"All credit to Worcester," said Gloucester skipper Peter Buxton. "They put pressure on our set-piece and fought for every ball.
"We were lucky to get two tries - one charge-down and one mistake by them - to give us a bit of control.
"They are quite a talented team and I'm sure they'll fight right to the end to try and avoid relegation and possibly they might do it."
