TWELVE county pool players will battle to be crowned national champions next week.
Worcestershire are one of eight teams competing at the Inter County Championships in Great Yarmouth on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4.
The team has qualified for the event by winning region five of the English Pool Association and will be joined by the other seven regional winners, split into two groups of four.
Meanwhile, eight players will be staking their claim to represent their country at England trials at the same venue.
Andy McDonald and Richard Fallon are bidding for selection, while teenagers Jack Hogan and Ashlee Wilde are both vying for a place in the Under 18s.
Sarah Nicklin, Rebecca Lewis, Deborah Farr and Holly Ravenhill are in the frame for the women's squad.
