LEAGUE-leaders Worcester City women kept up their push for promotion from West Midlands Division One South with a 2-0 victory at Birmingham Athletic.
Louise Holmes and Hazel Adams both scored with first-half lobs, Adams' from 25 yards, as City won their 11th league game of the season.
But they survived an early scare when third-placed Birmingham hit the woodwork inside the first three minutes.
The team was also boosted by the return of striker Kate Draper, making her first appearance following a 12-month injury lay-off.
Captain Vicky Andrews said: "We played really well. The pitch wasn't too bad and it allowed us to play good football. The spirit's really high at the minute."

But the skipper added: "The league is more important and if I could have picked a game to lose againt them it would have been the cup."
