HEREFORD United caretaker manager Peter Beadle insists he won't shy away from blooding young players in the first-team.
The 41-year-old youth team boss takes charge of the Bulls for the first time at Barnet today (3pm) after replacing Martin Foyle at the helm.
He will be looking to guide them to a first win in 11 Skrill Premier matches and climb away from the relegation zone.
Injuries and a lack of money for loan signings means Beadle does not have many options at his disposal for the trip to Underhill.
But having led the youth team to the FA Youth Cup fourth round this season, he could turn to some of the club's teenagers, such as forwards Cory Williams and Billy Murphy.
Beadle, who will be assisted by former youth-team deputy Steve Jenkins, said: "I understand why the youth team players have been used sparingly up to now, it's not been a usual situation, but I know they are there and if I feel they are capable I'll put them in.
"I'm not scared to play young lads, I've done it before wherever I've been."
While Beadle recognises there is huge gulf between youth football and the senior ranks, he believes there are common principles that bridge the gap.
The former Newport County manager said: "It is completely different, but the one thing I will try and impress on the first team is standards and respect for themselves to go on and perform to the best that they can do. We'll try to do the same with the standards in training.
"The main thing though is for everyone to maintain their own personal standards when they go out there and keep the bar as high as they can."
A win against Barnet would bring much-needed cheer to the Edgar Street club, who this week announced record losses.
