WORCESTER City say they have tried to be "financially realistic" in setting season ticket and admission prices for next season.

From the start of the 2014-15 campaign, the cost of watching the Skrill North club will rise by £1 to £13 for adults and £9 concessions.

But there will also be a range of season ticket offers for supporters, as well as the option of paying in instalments.

The popular £100 season ticket, which raised £50,000 last summer, has been retained but will only include 10 matches.

City, who will reveal their full pricing structure at tomorrow's match against Vauxhall Motors (3pm), are trying to strike a balance between making games affordable while not having to cut manager Carl Heeley's playing budget.

It costs the Blue and Whites more than £2,000-per-match to use Aggborough, after agreeing a second season with Kidderminster Harriers, and they are alos trying to plug the gap left by no longer having the £62,500 Careys New Homes sponsorship.

A club statement said: "The board have thought long and hard about the prices and offers. We are trying to be financially realistic and gain majority support and understanding at the same time.

"All of this is designed to ensure that we are able to give Carl an adequate playing budget for the coming season, yet at the same time protect the longer term viability of the club as we continue to work to get back to the City of Worcester as soon as possible.

"The future depends on our supporters showing their commitment to the club by buying season tickets."
