WORCESTER City are determined to finish the season on a high by continuing their impressive second half of the campaign.

Carl Heeley's side have transformed their season after winning seven of their last 10 games to sit 15th in Skrill North with 10 games to go.

They face a daunting trip to league leaders North Ferriby United tomorrow (3pm) but are brimming with confidence following last Saturday's 1-0 triumph at Barrow, which ended the Bluebirds' 14-match unbeaten run.

Manager Heeley said: " After 21 games we had 18 points, so to have 38 points after 32 games, we are delighted with that.

"We have already got more points in the second half of the season than the first and we have got 10 games to go.

"It's been a remarkable turnaround but we want to finish the season really strongly."

He continued: "North Ferriby are top of the league and are there for a reason with 10 games to go and it's going to be tough. But we will be difficult to play against as well and we are a tough nut to crack."

City could be without left-sided midfielder Steven Leslie who is poised to leave the club to emigrate to Australia.

International clearance for the Australian FA is due imminently and that would make him ineligible for the Blue and Whites.

Leslie has played 16 times for the club this term, scoring one goal, and is set to be replaced in the line-up by new signing Martin Devaney.

Heeley said: "We have known about this for a while but it's an opportunity for him and it's something he would like to experience. We took Martin because we knew Steven was going."

Striker Kristian Ramsey-Dickson could also be on his way out of the club after turning out for Stourbridge in their 2-1 home defeat to Hungerford Town in the Southern League Premier Division on Tuesday.

But academy striker James Lemon, who scored in the FA Cup victory over Coventry Sphinx earlier this season, has been drafted into the squad.

The Worcester boss explained: "James has come into the first-team squad until the end of the season because we want to have a look at him and make a judgment."

Striker Ethan Moore is also set to return to the fold after missing the Barrow victory with a bout of food poisoning.

Centre-half Shabir Khan could be used sparingly during the run-in as he is not due to have surgery on a long-standing hernia problem until after the season has finished.

North Ferriby, who won 1-0 at Aggborough in atrocious conditions in November, have won their last three matches against Gainsborough Trinity, Histon and Vauxhall Motors.
