EVESHAM United's torrid run of results in the Calor Southern League Division One South and West continued at Yate Town with the Robins going down to their fifth defeat in six games.
Although Carl Brown fired United into an early lead, Paul Collicutt's side were unable to build on their advantage and Yate hit back through Jordan Rogers' brace to keep up their play-off push.
A confident start led to Evesham taking the lead after just 11 minutes. Joe Eyre's corner fell to Brown just inside the box and the United striker bagged his 12th goals of the season with a superb strike to beat Martin Horsall.
Lance Smith had three chances to extend the lead but Horsall was equal to his efforts.
It proved costly as Yate levelled with their first shot on target four minutes before the break. Jake Cox got down the left and crossed for the unmarked Rogers to fire home.
Yate were more of a threat in the second-half and scored the winner in the 55th minute, Rogers jumping highest to head home James Harmer's corner.
