HEREFORD United chief Graham Turner believes the 0-0 Boxing Day draw against Bristol Rovers is a sign of how far the club has come.

The Bulls played out the stalemate in front of 5,201 spectators - the largest gate of the season at Edgar Street.

Turner is pleased with the team's progress since promotion from the Conference.

He said: "The game was a measure of the progress we've made this season.

"There was a good crowd, which produced the right kind of atmosphere, and when you're going into a game against sides as big as Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town it makes you realise what life is like back in the Football League."
