MANAGER Steve Burr says Kidderminster Harriers have nothing to fear when they go in search of FA Cup glory against Peterborough United today (3pm).
It has been a month to forget for Harriers with last Saturday’s 6-0 thrashing at Luton Town being their fourth defeat in five Skrill Premier matches during December.
But League One promotion hopefuls Peterborough are also enduring a slump in form and have lost their last three games ahead of the Aggborough showdown.
Although his team have struggled of late, Burr insists anything can happen in a one-off match and reckons Harriers, one of only three non-league sides still standing in the cup, can cause an upset against The Posh.
“To be in the third round is a great achievement for us, me personally and the players,” the Kidderminster boss said.
“To have a cup run is always something I’ve wanted to do and it’s not over by any means.
“We have had a dip in form, like Peterborough, but it should be a great atmosphere at our place, as it always is, and you never know.”
There is the added incentive of £67,500 for the winners and Burr has not given up hope of playing a Premier League side later in the competition.
He added: “We have got a tough game but there is an opportunity to get through this one and meet a big team in the next round.”
