MALVERN Town are hoping to end their home hoodoo when Spalding United visit on Saturday (3pm).
Paul Molloy's side have won just once at Langland Stadium this season, beating Aylesbury United 2-1 on December 2.
But they have done well on their travels, winning the last two on the road against Rushall Olympic and Bishop Cleeve.
However, it was their wretched home form that ended a three-match winning streak with a 2-0 defeat to Rothwell last Saturday.
Manager Molloy said: "We just don't play well at home. We have won the one game against Aylesbury but we would rather be playing away because we are pretty good away from home.
"I can't put my finger on it. We have spoken about it, it isn't as if we play a different system or tactics but we just don't seem to play well."
Molloy is hoping Shaun Findlay (hamstring) and Gary Walker, both on loan from Worcester City, will feature against Spalding, who are four places below Town in the table.
Right-back Liam Paddock is expected to play after stepping up from the youth team, while teenager Craig Selby has joined after being part of Worcester's youth system.
However, midfielders Brian Craven and Paul Edwards are unavailable because of holiday commitments.
Malvern's youth set-up, managed by Chris Smith, continues to flourish with 16-year-old Chris Wynne enjoying a trial spell at Premiership side Watford.
Molloy added: "He's a really good lad and Chris Smith is doing a great job with him.
"There are a lot of clubs looking at him, including Birmingham City.
"Hopefully, he will be offered terms by Watford to get his foot on the ladder and we won't hold him back. We will push him forward."
Malvern have a big county derby on Boxing Day when they visit St George's Lane to take on Evesham United.
